Never did I give such thoughtful reflection to this remarkable nut as you have here. I am also excited that you knew about Julian of Norwich’s contemplation of the hazelnut. I came across these texts recently in a seminar with a prominent scholar who, get this, was writing on Julian of Norwich and hazelnuts. He said that nobody else had written on the topic in his field. His name is David Albertson. I’ll have to find out if he published that work. Thanks for writing!
